Early Head Start
Early Head Start programs seek to build a foundation for a child’s developmental competence and
school readiness during the earliest years of childhood. The program promotes healthy
prenatal outcomes, enhances
the development of infants and toddlers, and supports
healthy family functioning. Families may participate
in a home visiting program
or utilize infant-toddler childcare
where available.
*Program is funded by the Administration for Children and Families- U.S. Department
of Health and Human Services.
