Pre-School Students Were Scientists for the Day!

Indian River Great Start Readiness Class

A NEMCSA lead teacher at the Indian River 2 classroom made learning fun for her pre-school students. In the first photo the students experimented with salt water- would the items sink or float?

In the second experiment, children placed eggs in containers filled with coke, vinegar, and tea and then were asked what they thought would happen to the eggs. Students predicted that the eggs would crack, turn brown, get fuzzy, etc. At the end of the week the conclusive evidence was that many children were great scientists!
