  Region IX AAA Congratulations

  Michigan Works! Ambassador Award

  Top Workplace in Michigan Award

NEMCSA recently named one of the top five places to work in Michigan

John Swise accepts Detroit Free Press Top Workplaces Award

This award was given by Top Workplaces 2010, a survey program conducted by Workplace Dynamics.  The Top Workplaces survey was submitted by employees and measured six factors: direction, execution, conditions, career, managers, pay and benefits.

NEMCSA CEO John Swise accepted the honor at an awards breakfast held in Livonia, MI on November 11th.  Accompanying him was COO John Briggs, Executive Assistant Karen Godi and Michigan Works! Business Liaison Kay Cosgray.  Cosgray came across information on the Top Workplaces competition and thought it would be a good opportunity to nominate NEMCSA.  Awards were presented to the top five companies in three different categories based on number of employees.  NEMCSA was named fifth among the top five large companies along with Quicken Loans, Edward Jones, Plante & Moran and Johnson Controls.

On receiving the award, Swise commented: "I think if you’re headquartered in Alpena and you get a statewide honor, it’s important.  It shows that you can live up north and work up north and still do your job and do it well and have your employees think you do OK."

NEMCSA employs around 700 people and appreciates the continuous efforts of the staff in making NEMCSA a top workplace in 2010 and for the past 40+ years.  Learn more about NEMCSA by visiting the About Us page.
