"I am grateful for the opportunity to attend the Leadership Institute where we had so many valuable things imparted to us. It was amazing to increase self-awareness as well as gain insight about working with diverse personalities, learn team building concepts, explore character traits of quality leaders, and practice implementing real-world skills that are needed for my position. As we went through the sessions, they illuminated the WHY behind some current NEMCSA policies and practices as well as stimulated some ideas for future enhancement." - Paul Brown, Regional Manager- Early Childhood Services

"Leadership class was a great experience for me- I learned a lot about how my work style works with other work styles and how to better communicate with the different styles. In this COVID age, it made a noticeable difference when most of my communication is through emails!"- Kristin Berles, Budget/Data Coordinator

'As an emerging leader in Community Action, the Leadership Development Institute has expanded my skill set in strategic planning, leadership and communication to effectively lead and motivate a team and advocate for non-profit services throughout our service area."- Victoria Purvis, Director of Homeless and Prevention Services

"I am very thankful for the opportunity to participate in the MCA Leadership Institute.  I learned the history and background to Community Action Agencies.  It was very informational, self-reflecting on your current leadership style and how to grow as a leader as well as building teams!" - Laurel Barnovitz, Regional Manager- Early Childhood Services
