Great Start Readiness Program (Age 4)

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a preschool program for 4-year-old children. The program prepares children to enter kindergarten. Children who go to a good preschool show better developmental growth than those who do not.

GSRP helps each child learn physical, social, emotional, and thinking-related skills. The program provides a balanced program with teacher-directed and child-led activities. Learning happens in many settings, especially through play.

The GSRP program follows the guidelines set by the Michigan State Board of Education. The program follows licensing requirements of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Please fill out a Preschool and Early Head Start interest form. Our staff will review your form to determine which program your child(ren) will be eligible for. If you have already filled out an interest form, or an application, or had a child in a program, please call 989-358-4619.

The Michigan Department of Education funds the GSRP program.
