The Fifth Annual Caregiver Empowerment and Wellness Conference, hosted by the Region 9 Area Agency on Aging, recently took place at Mio Baptist Church, marking yet another triumph in the organization's commitment to supporting caregivers in our community. This year's conference witnessed a remarkable turnout, with 81 participants and 17 vendors coming together to engage in insightful discussions and presentations.
The conference covered an array of pertinent topics essential to caregiving, including community resources, Understanding Dementia and Brain Health, Technology Tools for Caregiving, and Building Self-Resiliency. These sessions provided attendees with valuable knowledge and strategies to enhance their caregiving journey.
