Classroom Grandparents (Foster Grandparent Program)
Our Classroom Grandparents, also known as Foster Grandparents, are a vital part of our schools and preschools. They provide compassion, support, and one-on-one attention to students, helping them build confidence and develop a love for learning. By serving as positive role models, Classroom Grandparents foster meaningful connections with children, offering encouragement and guidance that can make a lasting impact on their academic success and personal growth. Their presence not only benefits students but also strengthens the entire school community by creating a warm, supportive learning environment.
- Are you 55 or older? This opportunity is for you!
- Make a difference by volunteering 15 to 20 hours per week—flexible and rewarding!
- Income eligibility applies.
- Earn a non-taxable stipend of $4.00 per hour as a thank-you for your time.
- We’ve got you covered! Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel to and from your service site.
