Are you 55 years of age or older and wish to volunteer in your community?
Consider becoming an AmeriCorps Seniors Volunteer and joining a network of professional volunteers serving in your community. We have three programs available to best suit your interests and circumstances:
Classroom Grandparents - also known as the Foster Grandparent Program (FGP)
Our Classroom Grandparents, also known as Foster Grandparents, serve in our schools and preschools and provide compassion and assistance to students to promote academic success.

- Serve an average of 20 hours per week
- Meet income eligibility requirements
- Receive an hourly non-taxable stipend of $4.00 per hour

Senior Companion Program (SCP)
Our friendly Senior Companions are visitors to other seniors living at home who need the help and compassion of a friend to look in on them on a regular basis. Senior Companions also visit with nursing home residents who otherwise would receive regular visitors.

- Serve an average of 20 hours per week
- Meet income eligibility requirements

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
Our RSVP volunteers can do everything a Senior Companion or Classroom Volunteer can do without the increased time commitment and without the stipend.
- Must be age 55 or older
- No minimum hours of service
- No income eligibility criteria
- Mileage reimbursement to & from service
