The Region 9 Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is tasked with the responsibility of advocacy, planning, funding needed services and monitoring funded programs. Each year the AAA must develop a plan describing how funds received through the Older Americans Act will be used in the communities and what services will be a priority. Some of the funds from the Older Americans Act are granted to area County Councils/Commissions on Aging and help to provide services such as senior center meals, home delivered meals, homemaker services, respite care and personal care.
The input sessions provide an opportunity for people to express views on issues seniors are facing, as well as available services and unmet needs. Information gathered will be used in the development of our 2027-2029 Multi-Year Plan.
