Continuing the Voice of Community Action: Lisa Bolen Reappointed to State Commission
NEMCSA is proud to share that our Executive Director and CEO, Lisa Bolen, has been reappointed to serve a second term on the Michigan Commission on Community Action and Economic Opportunity. In this role, she continues to represent community action agencies from across the state, ensuring that the voices of the people and communities we serve in Northeast Michigan are part of important statewide conversations and decisions. The Commission was created to provide an opportunity for low-income individuals to actively participate in the development of policies and programs to reduce poverty and also serves as a forum to address the needs and concerns of low-income individuals.
Her new term will run from June 22, 2026, through June 21, 2029. Lisa’s reappointment reflects her strong leadership, deep knowledge of community action, and ongoing commitment to advancing opportunities for individuals and families. We are honored to have her advocating at the state level and bringing that insight back to strengthen our work at NEMCSA.
