Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less
Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less is an online 15-week weight management program that uses strategies proven to work for weight loss and maintenance. The program is led by a registered dietitian nutritionist. Each lesson informs, empowers, and motivates participants to live mindfully as they make choices about eating and physical activity. Some lessons include: controlling sugar, managing stress, cooking smart, choosing healthy fat, preventing relapse, and more. The class is open to older adults (60+), family caregivers, or Kinship Caregivers who live in the twelve-county region service area. Participants should be interested in improving their eating and physical activity habits with the goal of weight maintenance and/or weight loss. 70%of participants have maintained or lost even more weight six months after the Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less classes ended.
Each participant can choose the class time that works best for their schedule. Lunchtime, late afternoon, and evening classes are available to accommodate various schedules.
