Governor Gretchen Whitmer recently announced appointments to various councils, committees, boards and commissions, including a woman from northeast Michigan.
Lisa Bolen of East Tawas has been appointed to the Commission on Community Action and Economic Opportunity for a term expiring June 21, 2026.
Bolen is the Executive Director /CEO of the Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency. She was appointed to represent community action agencies.
The Commission on Community Action and Economic Opportunity was created to provide opportunity for low-income persons to actively participate in the development of policies and programs to reduce poverty, and serves as a statewide forum to address the needs and concerns of low-income people.
